In Maymyo, a highland city , we visited one of the largest apparel factories in Myanmar.
The factory, which has a vast site and a large number of workers, has an integrated production system from sewing to finishing of garments, and produces a large number of products every day.
The local workers are extremely diligent and their earnest attitude left a strong impression on me.
Myanmar is now strongly motivated to grow as a “global garment factory,” taking advantage of its inexpensive, high-quality labor costs.
As part of this effort, the factories are actively seeking manufacturing requests and long-term partnerships from foreign companies.
Through this visit, we strongly felt the potential of Myanmar’s labor force and its great potential for the future.
